Ringier is an innovative, digitalised and diversified Swiss media company operating in Europe, Asia and Africa. Its portfolio includes around 110 subsidiaries in the print, digital media, radio, ticketing, entertainment and e-commerce sectors and leading online marketplaces for cars, real estate, jobs and horizontals.
FS Parker was asked to refresh Ringier’s existing brand identity and define what makes the design distinctly Ringier by unifying and building consistency across all existing touchpoints for a look & feel with a modern and expressive appearance. The new approach creates consistency across the Ringier sub-brands while keeping a flexible platform for individual expression.
We defined a set of design rules that aligns all sub-brands of the Ringier universe. Beyond these core elements, there is freedom for an individual product expression, which is where designs can flourish and connect in a more targeted way with the brand audience.
We created a comprehensive new brand manual featuring a new key visual –
an amorphoues 3D ring logo. A dynamic graphic element that represents the three key interconnected areas of Ringier: Media, Technology and Marketplaces. This moving graphic animation opens up a completely new brand expression possibility. Depending on the need, Ringier can appear on an expressive spectrum that ranges from calm, toned-down, and formal to more expressive, colourful, and eye-catching, by using bold colours, movement and scale. Along with the new 3D logo we introduced an image, graphics and icon world that supported the brand messaging.
The result is a dynamic visual brand that reflects the tradition,
innovation and technology of Ringier.
