The Swiss Music Awards (SMA), the largest music prize in Switzerland, serves to promote the national music scene and at the same time present its cultural diversity. Newcomers are offered a platform to make their music accessible to a broader audience, whilst the work of the most successful musicians is also duly honoured.
After more than 12 years and with the change of Claim AG’s management, it was time to give SMA a new look and “fresh wind”. Our task was to create a new appearance for the SMA 2020. This included a complete communication strategy, revised look & feel as well as full implementation.
We developed a new visual language encompassing all communication channels along with advertising material both print and digital. The new look and feel was put into action in the creation of sponsorship and partner presentations. The development and appearance of the live show as well as animations were all made possible by our creative teams.
By relocating the event to central Switzerland and utilising two halls at the KKL Lucerne, we were able to focus on a broader range of content including live music and young talent. This resulted in an evolution of the Swiss Music Awards, repositioning the event and creating a strong basis for years to come.
